Tutorial One: The Perfect Buttercream





RECIPE

250g softened butter
3 cups icing mixture (from your kit)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk

NB: recipe is halved for your fondant cake kit





STEP 1
BEAT THE BUTTER
Beat the butter with an electric mixer until as white as possible (about 5 minutes).








STEP 2


ADD THE ICING MIXTURE
Gradually add the icing mixture from your kit, half a cup at a time until the mixture is light and fluffy, then add your vanilla flavouring.






STEP 3


ADD THE MILK
Add the milk at the end to thin the mixture.  You will notice it will puff up slightly.
